OK, so just 10 days ago I posted some things to watch out for in the coming months:

Greece failing to meet their austerity goals
Spain requesting a bailout (likely to happen within days)
EU ESI (Economic sentiment indicator) continuing to decline
Greece dropping out of the EU
Any sign whatsoever of Germany's economy faultering (ie. decrease in exports or employment) - this could be huge, as Germany's strength and investors confidence in them is the only thing propping the EU up right now."
Well...
according to a German thinktank Germany could be heading for a recession. And in a world of markets, news like this can become a self-fulfulling prophecy.
Oh, and Spain's credit rating has just been downgraded to 1 level above a "junk" rating, so investors will likely be getting out quick which makes Spain requesting a bailout very soon almost inevitable.
I suggest everyone keeps a very close eye on the Eurozone situation, because I think most would agree it's probably the biggest immediate threat to the Western world.
