Cheap vacuum sealer is a good investment, along with a dehydrator.

Security wise, look at http://www.oliverbrown.co.uk and wikipedia

Start from the ground up, so look at http://www.freebookspot.es (or torrents) and get some martial arts books / dvds and a couple of friends to spar with. THEN look at the next level up, i.e. knives / crossbows etc.

You can go to a local rifle club without any issues, your age shouldn't be a problem.
