The single country thing is possible, now that we are all in a recession/depression.

Once all the countries collapse, financially, the ability to reunify the countries, under a single banner, holding a single currency, ruled under a singular set of laws, as we already are (some of which laws break our original national laws) then we can be more easily 'conquered' and placed under one flag.

The United States of Europe. Like the USA, only Europe.

Then we will be in real trouble.
