The mistake all cultures seem to make over and over again is to expect other groups to think and behave the way we would in the same situation.

The west believes that deep down inside the middle east really wants to be a democracy … but they don't.

Funny isn't it. Islamic countries stone women in public for suspected adultery, some don't let women out the house without a male guardian (note - a 9 year old boy can be considered his mother's guardian!), and consider homosexuality punishable by death. And we're the immoral ones because we drink, gamble and our women sleep around
