Wouldnt fancy catcging boar unless I had a rifle. They used to spear them,read a book were someone speared the boar and it still ran at him pushing the spear deeper into its self.

I read about a guy who put two rounds of 30-06 into a wild boar in Oklahoma and it really upset the porker which reached the hunter before he could load aim and fire a third time. Beasty nearly ripped his leg right off.

dig a pit, line it with pointed stakes and cover it with light material...wait for the bugger to fall in!!
