First New Concentration camps in Europe since WW2
Did anyone else see this?

Why would they build new camps unless they are going to use them?

After all, Mrs Thatcher did not recruit more police at the beginning of her administration just because she thought the new recruits would look good in a shiny new uniform, did she?

So why are the Greeks building camps unless they intend to use them?

Makes me wonder if the same thing might happen here too.

We could do with all these links cataloguing and being available to search. they all get lost in the threads and we site members end up keep repeating the same threads - over & over again. It dosn't help the advancement of our knowledge/research.

I pretty certain this will inflame some sensitive souls BUT we do have an illegal immigration problem in the UK so the idea of gathering them up in common sites and deporting the lot of them en masse holds a certain amount of appeal to me.

All we've got to do then is ignore the bleeding heart brigade, the law, and world condemnation.
Nothing new for this government is there?

Probably then, as the precident has been set, the rest of the world will start doing the exact same thing.

dont we already have holding camps/centres where we hold immigrants prior to them being deported? wasnt there a fire in one some time ago? any undesireable should be arrested and put on a plane the same day! they can just as easy put in an appeal from their home country as they can here! if the French can do it why cant we??

Stick 'em all on a boat and ship 'em off somewhere.

Preferably on a boat with a couple of holes in it Tongue

Yes, we have detention centres, but they're only used for the ones who get caught.

It's the ones who get in, usually on student visas and then just disappear are the problem.

Our government wouldn't build camps, nothing in it for them monetary wise. If they could get a few pounds out of it, we'd have no immigration problem at all within a week.

The problem with deportation of illegal immigrants is that in order to deport them, we must first identify the country to deport them to. Most countries (particularly those we class as "Third World") do not use the 'Biometric' system in their passports, so there is no record of fingerprints etc. As such the only way to correctly identify their country of origin is via their passport. Due to this most illegals hide their passports so that if they are caught they cannot be deported until it has been established 'without doubt' which country they are from. Our UK Border Agency is unfortunately, 'Unfit for Purpose' as it is grossly understaffed, inadequately trained and lack the authority that they require to carry out their duties.

It is not just that problem. However the issue is that out government will not act on any crime that does not bring moremoney into their greedy reach. Sorting immigration will cost money.
