UK flood rise to rise 4 fold by 2035
He He so much for the rich upper class twits who spent a fortune buying riverside and lakeside properties, It may be windy up here and it make be miles to the shops but the floods, chavs and socialists cannot easily reach us Smile

that will take care of all these new developments that were built on the flood plains, if your going to buy a new house buy one on top of a hill!!
Some people that prefer to be alone arent anti-social they just have no time for drama, stupidity and false people.

Building on High Ground is the only way. Many of the housing developments have been built on prime Agricultural land. Half of the countries planners should be made redundent for their stupidity. I suppose most of them think that they made a wonderful job. In actual fact walking up gradients is good for the heart, and if Housing developments had been built on higher ground, it could probably saved the NHS millions of pounds. Kenneth Eames.

that was one thing that we got right in Glastonbury, we lived at the top of a VERY steep hill nearly a half mile high, where we live now is not quite so high but we are at the very back of the estate on the highest ground the furthest away from both ends of the river. if we have to bug out...30 seconds walk and we are out into the country lane.
