Hi From Scotland, Cyprus and Nigeria
Folks,
Just a quick intro so you know my background etc for comments if and when I make them on the site forum.
About me. Ex Forces residing between Aberdeenshire and Cyprus but working in Nigeria.
All this running around makes covering all bases very difficult especially when travelling as carrying full bug out kits etc is frowned upon on airplanes.
I'm looking to set up my main base in the UK as this is where I know well and I'm comfortable whether out in the wilds or in the towns / cities.
Cyprus with everything going on just now in North Africa, Syria (70 miles away) and now Isreal eyeing up Iran makes this right now the highest potential risk area for me however I have a business out there so I need to visit. I have set up a smaller base here too.
Nigeria is not so welcoming with weapons on every street corner although we do have local "security" escorts. I am pretty comfortable in Africa though having had to bug out from a West African country in the past with no passports or papers and make it to Europe.
I'd be interested in any ideas thoughts people have on how best to modify my preparations to try and cover every eventuality.
Look forward to hearing suggestions
Cheers

Hello Leon you get about don’t you, the bug out from a West African country sounds interesting but I am not going to ask, anyway welcome.

Hello and welcome
Bugging out from africa with no paperwork should be easy we have hundreds a day from there coming here with no paperwork.
Failure is NOT an option

A family I once read about kept powered microlights as liesure / Bug Out vehicles, they used to to get out of some incident in Africa, it may have been Zimbabwe or Mozambique but I honestly cannot remember. so perhaps a light aircraft pilots licence could be an asset in your preps ?
