EVAC ordered parts of New York
375,000 New Yorkers from Coney Island, Lower Manhatton etc being ordered to leave. NYC Subway system and buses stopping at 7PM local time, All lifts in public owned apartment blocks and offfices being turned off at 7PM local time. Panic buying going on as expected.

My cousin and wife moved there with work... last week! They don't even know anyone yet. Might give them a quick ring!!

I like these parts the most.....

"New York City has issued a mandatory evacuation for hundreds of thousands of residents of low-lying areas and will close public transportation this evening."

Then my favourite.... "Residents are advised to keep their devices charged and to stock up on food and water. People with homes near evacuation areas are encouraged to prepare to-go bags with essentials should they need to move quickly."

To me, a To-Go bag sounds like a BOB. What are the odds!?!?!?!?

I bet that show Doomsday Preppers is getting higher ratings now.

Many areas of Area one in NYC are already below sea level like they were in New orleans, so if high tide combines with the storm surge the poor buggers could be under 12 feet of water.
