Law changed a few years ago so if you have kids around air rifles, you have to make the air rifles secure from the kids - if you were going down the route of getting a cabinet, get a couple of shotguns to keep the air rifles company. If you can get some shooting rights some where, get an FAC and some FAC air rifles.

W/R to your Mrs, change the families shopping and buying habits. Try to get her to go to places like Costco, Macro and so on where you have to buy in bulk. You might want to engineer it so you have things in your preps that she is about to run out of - so when she is making a cup of tea and their is no sugar, some from the preps. Making Yorkshire puddings and no flour - some from the preps. Home late because of work or some minor family crisis - couple of cans of stew out of the preps.

Get her used to the idea that you are not prepping for some catastrophic event in particular, but for day to day life - because in all reality, you are.
