RE: MPs call for '32% salary increase'
They are not calling for a 32% pay rise - more that they were asked how much they thought their role was worth. It is actually lower than a lower role in the public sector and private sector.

Ask you local council how much the finance director or IT director is on. I will bet it is more than £90K for a nothing position.

MP's should not get paid, they should do it for the love with expenses. If they are any good as an MP, they can get a couple of no executive directorships offered to them, either when they are in parliament or afterwards.

I would do 10 years in parliament for nothing as long as I had a rosy future on a board afterwards.

Yes, it is time to revert to the past. MP's at one time did not recieve any money, but as so called progress proceeded and the Socialists (Labour Party grew in strength) the situation changed and they recieved a salary. Surely, the Trade Unions, as supporters of Labour should be able to pay their salaries and the Tory millionairres, would not require a salary at all. How many Billion would that save per annum. Anyway, I'll see you all in jail soon, when your all convicted of hoarding. lol. Kenneth Eames.
