I thought most of our grain came from Canada and America? I know the bread flour we use has some Canadian flour in it.
I'm not going to start panicking just yet,nothing we as preppers can do about it anyway, but monitor what happens and see how it affects our preps and planning.
Some people that prefer to be alone arent anti-social they just have no time for drama, stupidity and false people.

"If" this kicks off and affects the supply of energy and food products, it doesn't really matter where the UK buys from as it will simply put pressure onto other suppliers and affect prices and availability that way.
But is the EU really going to put import bans (sanctions) on Russian coal or gas? Or are Russia companies going to want to stop trading with us? The answer to both is most likely to be No. However it is the uncertainty that is most likely to affect us, and therefore benefit Russia (financially)!
Products like Wheat grain are traded on the commodities markets in the same way as oil and precious metals, so if the brokers start to speculate and take a punt, as they are known to do, then who knows what could happen to prices?

I don't think the EU is going to put sanctions on Russia, they (the EU) are already back pedalling, now the US is a different matter. whatever happens there is nothing I or you can do personally about it, all we can do is keep our stocks topped up and monitor what happens.

Yes but the US can not place sanctions on Russia that stop them trading with Europe or Asia or anywhere else, they can only affect anything connected with the US.
The EU can place restrictions on trade between Russia and the EU, but such sanctions would only ever be things that would hurt Russia (as opposed to the EU), such as sales of military equipment; banking/financial transactions; travel restrictions etc. for example there is growing pressure on France to cancel the order for 2 hi-tech Mistral Class assault ships, the first is due to be delivered in October and the US in particular are fuming with France about this:

Alternatively the UN can place sanctions which have a worldwide effect, but that will NEVER happen because Russia and the Chinese will veto it.

yes, but this is all heresay and conjecture, we have no idea what will happen and we have no influence over it, all we can do is watch what happens and act accordingly.
I refuse to start panicking because some prat in a balaclava pushed a button on a rocket system and had an "oops" moment, sure I'm sorry for the people that died but none of them were related to me or were my friends, I also refuse to start jumping through hoops because maybe the price of bread flour or the price of coal(which I don't use) or something else goes up in price(stuff is always increasing in price- its a fact of life), I will adjust my preps and my plans based on the facts as they become apparent not cos I'm running around foaming at the mouth like some stupid "sheeple" when the supermarket closes for one day at Christmas.
