that property i mentioned NR? have just heard back from the estate agents, was SOLD sight unseen, probably bought by someone up country with too much money to burn, i've seen this happen so many times, the locals dont get a look in! Devon is a very expensive county especially if your looking for rural property with land, prices are 2nd expensive to London but with very low wages, Cornwall is cheaper-just a little bit, but there you are also bidding against 2nd home buyers. houses are cheaper in Plymouth and Barnstaple where there is plenty of property available but if your looking for rural property with land the prices are more in the region of £250K-£350K, i did see an ex-council house("Cornish unit") semi in a small village about 15 miles from here for 95K but that was snapped up within about a week.
