Civilization Collapse
This is a great read folks. A well presented, well sourced book on the collapse of Rome, the Roman problem of currency debasement is very reminiscent to the times we find ourselves in today, highly recommended

RE: Civilization Collapse
You've just reminded me of another book that, in part, covers Rome.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Rise_an...eat_Powers

It speaks about ancient superpowers, but then towards the end starts to set it's site on America and speak of the same kind of thing.

Tartar, if you like Fall of the West, you'll love "The rise and fall of the great powers" by Paul Kennedy.

Looks like a great read will order itBig Grin

This will be right up your alley so to speakRolleyes A historical look into the forces of human nature that steer societies, it's very controversial in historical circles because it bears all so to speak, a fascinating thought provoking read

Just been reading the reviews of that book.

Massively mixed views. Any book that has that variety of views is worth a read. One person would say 1 star, then the next asking to give 4.5 stars!

I've got a few already on my reading list. I'll have to pick that one up in a few months.
