it could easily happen here, Russia knows where all our undersea cables are.
I was born ready and spent many years living not only off grid but simply.

Who knows?, maybe its the lunatic net zero agenda kicking in, maybe its the wonder of DEI hiring practices, maybe its deliberate sabotage.

If we haven't considered power then we are in a bit of an issue. I've gas and solar panels as well as wood burners. So except from missing out all computer based stuff I'll be fine.

We have a small solar system with leisure battery storage, but this is a wake up.

So for when the power goes off here......

Make sure all batteries AA/AAA, 12v, usb chargeable lights, walkie talkies,
power banks etc, even power tools (for maintenance) are kept fully charged.

And keep some cash handy as cards won’t work neither will cash machines.

we have solar panels back and front, a log burner waiting to go and various means of cooking, plenty of torches and lanterns and a stock of long life Procell batteries.

My feelings at the moment are suspicious, these countries are western nato members ,france a nuclear power and even today nobody knows for sure what happened it's all still speculation.

If it was a cyber attack would they tell us or keep us in the dark .
With recent advice from European government including our own to have a stock of food and candles available.... who knows.

Oh and the attack on French infrastructure (railways) just before the Olympics , something stinks.

dosent matter what the reason is, we cant do anything about it but what we can do is be prepped and ready for it to happen here, unlike the masses who will just panic.
