Bugger just had a phone consultation with my GP he got the rtesults back from the tests, cameras, probes and other orrible things they have done to do ( still waiting for the MRI scan)

They think a certain dickhead called NR proved himself to be a fiirst class prat when he tried to cock the 150 lb draw crossbow without a cocking aid when he had just got out of bed and had done no other exercise for weeks. bust tendons, damaged ligaments, bruised urine plumbing, snapped muscles, and further compression of the vertibraes I originally hurt back in the 70s.

Doctor can I still use my crossbow when I feel better ? says NR

"Only if you are totally stupid and want to cripple yourself " was the reply.

Thus
One hardly used Petron Sniper 150 lb draw crossbow, 5 spare limbs, spare strings, spare nock ends and 20 x 14 and 17 inch bolts for sale £135. Sad

NR going to look for a socialist to snarl at Smile

The Quacks are
(A) still falling around laughing that anyone could be so stupid
(B) feeding me boat loads of pain killers and nerve end numbing medicines
© laughing at me a bit more
(D) telling me to rest for at least 6 bloody months
(E) looking for other specialists who can have fun squeezing my unsqueezables and shoving cameras where cameras should not be shoved.

Of course I'm in agony, can hardly walk, can hardly drive, cant stand for more than a few minutes, and more dopey than normal cos of the medications and naturally the dole people say I'm fit for work !!!! Confused

PLEASE GUYS dont try getting macho when cocking your crossbows, if it goes wrong the price you pay is horrendous.

The back is not the issue really though its hurt a fair bit, its the damaged nerves , ligaments, tendons etc that the problem , we cannot find an effective system of pain control and its not made easier with my allegry to any opiods !!

even when you get better NR you still have to be careful as the damage has already been done, OH and I both have dodgy backs...we can manage most of the time but we've only got to move the wrong way, get out of the chair awkwardly, twist around in the car and its back again..the pain, so we have to be aware of it and act accordingly.
Fed up now, only light on the horizon is the probability SD is going to visit next week.
There's a 100% natural pain killer that will help. Only problem is that it's illegal at the moment.

I'm still interested in the crossbow, but don't know when I'd be able to get up to you, probably wouldn't be for a good few weeks Sad

It will wait if you want it.
i'm assuming there is no way that you will be at the WG this year? if the DRS say you have to take it easy for 6 months that is!
Dunno to be honest, i would still like to get away for a break if we can, but I'm not hopeful the way I feel this week, fingers crossed who knows, Fed up cos I already missed the NW meet with SD
