One or two is usually enough.
Can I suggest a berkey I use one, and some bottled water that way you won't have to go outdoors, to get water to put through a berkey if it's unsafe, ie rioting etc

LOL!! Glad to hear it
We have a lot of calcium in our water (hard water) so we filter everything we drink with cartridge type filters, just wondered if anyone has experience with using a Berkefeld with hard water and how it effects the filters, the price of these filters has dropped recently and I'm considering getting one for daily use to filter our tap water.
