RE: The Coming Expropriation Of 10% Of Everyone's Accounts
The post office was originally a private concern and now its rightfully back in the private sector.
The best form of government is one that governs, taxes and owns the least,
Small government, small tax = good
Large government and welfare / socialism = bad
Socialism is a disease, it is a polite term used by its advocates to justify parasitism, IE one life form living off the efforts of the others.
Any COMPULSORY welfare system is unjust, immoral and plain wrong, VOLUNTARY systems are good because people can CHOOSE to join and pay in, and of course only those who pay in can take out...... and never a penny more than they paid in.

RE: The Coming Expropriation Of 10% Of Everyone's Accounts
As I have already said. In previous postings all my money is OUT of the banking structure, wifey still has some within the bank ......the moment they start to taper off and interest rates start to rise is my que to get hers OUT and I mean within hours .....alright inflation would get us along with currency adjustments ...... but by then our cash would be turned into tangible assetts;

So, can we look forward to cheaper postage soon ? I doubt it.
Face facts, once again a publicly owned resource has been sold off cheaply to benefit those who can afford to buy it.
Do you have a load of shares in the post office ? If so, you've done very well. If not, you've been robbed. Again.

I'm not going to attempt to explain to you that you have, once again, been robbed. Your fanatical devotion to your masters defies my efforts.

And what about the £3bn+ worth of subsidies that have been pumped into Royal Mail in the last 5 years alone......
Privitisation was the only option to stop the rot.

You confuse cost and price I think.

No not at all.
If it hadn't been sold at that price, the subsidies would have continued to flow, or it would have further deteriorated and end up being worthless.
Don't forget that the 'Post Offices' were not part of the sale, so there was no huge nationwide transfer of property.

I think we are again going into Politics so I'm closing the thread.
