Not sure how many people do this, and I'm also not sure if it's already been mentioned, but an added extra treat to trail mix, for the coffee lover, is chocolate coated coffee beans!
Extra caffeine kick, and that yummy coffee taste, with chocolate!!!

Yes, they are hard. Some varieties less so than others, depending upon how they are roasted.

Not as hard as bits of Blackpool Rock, Barney. You can get the chocolate covered ones from some coffee shops. I think l'Hotel Chocolate sells them. Delicious!!!
