What foods and why
What foods do you think will start disappearing from the shops and why?
Anyone saying "Because people buy them" needs to give themselves a slap.
The point of this is to embrace intelligent conversation about how any why we see foods disappearing off our shelves.
I think we are all in agreement that wheat based products will be vanishing off our shelves and in the mean time, huge price increased. This will cause supply and demand issues, so production will likely increase as others change their current crop for wheat, due to the price hike.
However, having said that, rice is massively under produced at the moment and India are this year becoming a net importer of rice due to massive crop failures. Vietnam and Columbia are increasing rice prices too.
What this means is that there will be shortages of these products, temporarily. But it's the large efforts that convert to these crops who get cut out and then suffer.
Soy production in Brazil is going to be down as Russia are not exporting fertilizer.
