This is interesting.
BP's reminder of the Horizon program got me thinking about something from 2010. The gulf stream apparently stopped in the summer of 2010. It may have been a temporary shutdown for a day or 2 (I can't remember the whole story), but it's something work checking out.
Anyone that wants to check it out I'm sure it'll be easy to find a link or 10.
