Yep, that should work.
Cheaper to get arrow shafts then make them from there upwards.
I find hand-crafted arrows become more 'tuned' to a user, than off the rack purchases.

How do you know the lb of your bow, is there a method other than guess work? Got a 54" recurve bow for 5quid at a carboot.

In your case you woiuld need to borrow a spring loaded drawgauge to read your bows draw weight.

The easy way to check a bows draw weight is to use a set of bathroom scales. Get a piece of wood about 3-4ft and put the bow on it with string facing down. Mark on the piece wood your draw length 28-29inches etc. Make sure the piece of wood will not slip on the scales and then pull the string down to the draw length marked on the wood and read the weight on the scales, hey presto there's your bow weight.
