Wind energy does indeed have a place in a society is used wisely and not relied upon 100% unless you live on Kerguelan where the wind never normally drops under 35MPH all year round. And I do think VA turbines are greatly underated in the off grid world if for nothing else than their simplicity compared to a HA turbine.
