Haha, perfect timing really. My wife has picked up 3 pairs of tick removers from work for me. Well, 1 pair for the dogs, and the other 2 sets for my stocks. One for the BOB, the other for my out and about first aid kit.
Also, another great reason to stock antibiotics haha.

Girl who cuts my hair has Lyme disease. Picked it up a couple of years ago from a tick, and can't get rid of it. It affects her central nervous system, giving symptoms similar to ME; extreme fatigue, numbness, chronic pain, etc. Not nice.
I'm lucky; ticks don't seem to like me. You still won't catch me in our woodland without boots and long trousers on though. And I always take a bug-proof shelter if wild-camping, especially up here in Scotland. Check this out: ![]() Found on the net. Shows what can happen if you let ticks get the upper hand.
Find a resilient place and way to live, then sit back and watch a momentous period in history unfold.

I had Lyme Disease from a deer tick bite back in the mid 1980's. Fortunately, I had a good doctor who put me on 100mg Rocephin IV twice a day for two weeks. No recurrences or any effects since.
If at first you don't secede, try, try again!
