what is a salt substitute KCL?
26 February 2014, 10:12
I was always told by my employer if I got the flu: "stay home, we would rather pay you to stay away with the flu than come into the office and infect EVERYONE ELSE", these days I try to stay away from crowded public areas in the flu season and carry a small bottle of hand gel with me when I go out.
Some people that prefer to be alone arent anti-social they just have no time for drama, stupidity and false people.

KCl is potassium chloride, sometimes used as a salt substitute by persons who must limit their sodium intake. I don't care for its different taste, so instead I just use more spices to keep flavors interesting.

RS, it's potassium chloride, marketed as a "salt substitute" for people on low sodium diets.

Jonas, Thank you for this. Tamiflu which is the treatment for bird Flu and asian Flu, is manufactured from a Chinese herb 'Star Anise.' It can be used but will push up the patients temperature. To avoid the high rise in the patients temperature, it needs to be taken with cooling herbs. Kenneth Eames.
