Busy intersections and round abouts are dangerous places.

Pity no one ever told anyone about that, and of course someone, probably the government, should do something to protect everyone so that no one is responsible for their own safety.

Perhaps they should pass a law that says there should be a safe distance between a driver and the car in front of him/her. That would solve everything!

We all know that if we are rammed from the rear it has to be our own fault.

I think tailgating here has been made illegal but a lot of these scams have the gangs driving in front of you then braking without warning so the victim drives into the back of them.

Very common in USA is the " swoop and swat" in which two cars work together, one stopping abruptly in front of you, locking up the brakes and smoking the tyres so that you rear-end them, while a trailing vehicle rams you from behind. Everyone sues everybody to milk the cow for the insurance money. Nigerian cab drivers are famous for this.

Prevention is to keep substantial following distance with room to take evasive action. Having 911 (like 999 in UK) on speed dial can be helpful, but a cocked and locked M1911A1 as deterrent works better in some circumstances.
