Walther CP99
I'm thinking about getting something like this.
http://www.surplusandadventure.com/shop/...37120.html
Does anyone here have one? If so, what do you reckon to it? I realise that PSHTF the CO2 aspect will be problematic but this is not for post event.
I'm looking for a multishot pistol that will pack a decent wallop! Any suggestions gratefully received! Thanks peeps!

RE: Walther CP99
Honestly they are pretty darn worthless, they are limited to 6 ft pounds of energy, by comparison a decent sling shot firing 38 calbre ball beeing is much more effective, a bb or air pellet weighs next to nothing and requires great speed to be effective, but 6 ft pound generates very little speed, but look at the 38 cal steel BB from a slingshot you can get over 200 fps ( check with nemesis) at it weights 10 grams.

Thanks NR, Perhaps this is not for me then! I have a catapult and BB ammo which works very well. I'd quite like a higher power than 6 ft lb in a pistol! thanks again!

RE: Walther CP99
you might find that cutting an air rifle down is illegal , an air pistol can only legally be 6 foot pounds energy with out a fac

RE: Walther CP99
It depends what you want it for
When it comes to indimidating (perhaps stop an advancing mob)
a 'gun' is scary
a 'slingshot' is a toy
(even in this case where the shingshot is actually more of a threat)
Doctor Prepper: What's the worst that could happen?

Yes, it is illegal. This was purely suggested for PSHTF

Plus I'd make sure it's not your only air rifle too - my cousin did this to my granddads air rifle - doesn't do much for the accuracy at all.
If you want it for home defence etc check out Tiberius Arms T9. I had the T8, beautiful thing. Scary as hell when it's pointed at yer noggin. You can get wound nylon balls for it, or if you're lucky / inventive then you can get some mace style balls too.

good to see im not the only one whose looked into magazine fed paintball guns!
personally i like the rap4 models better, look more realistic, and no one will argue with a gun pointed at their face, and at the range a pistol would be effective, a paintball to the face will make an enemy recoil sufficiently to either start running or close the gap and attack with your knife!
rap4 is also what alot of law enforcement an military use for training ...and they got the pepper balls to shoot for self defence too!

could always go for a desert eagle style if you wanna scare the sh!t out of someone!

or a compact full auto smg

or an m4 style thing
