RE: Life without electric
I used to go to Scotland and stay with my Gran for holidays.
We bathed in a large metal tub by the coal fire, The water was taken from the BIG bath in the bathroom which was used for water storage, Food was cooked on the ARGA, Clothes were ironed using a big metal iron which had a heated stone inside, We were lead to bed with a candle, yet there was electric as she had a t.v and she would keep the living room light on....She kept chickens, Geese and ducks, She had 22 cats to keep the mice and rats at bay, which we would hear scuttling up the walls at night Sad We would also get wakened at stoopid oclock by the rooster, As kids we loved it, Not so sure now though Sad But if needs must Sad
If you change the way you look at things..The things you look at change !
