I got a few of these at a car boot from an ex soldier. Small enough to store in any of your kits if you need a stove. Tried and tested.

They are,..or were the basic army stove for all of my career, and they work very well indeed, the fuel will burn in any weather.

The blocks can also be broken up if you have a need for smaller blocks,... the only slight down point is that they smell, now I love that smell, it will always remind me of rest/food,.. but the smell can travel.

I have a version that clips to a belt, it includes a pot / mug and fits around the issue water bottle.

It's like this one:

Although I paid £5 at army surplus store in Chatham. I know a soldier who was posted to Cyprus, he gave me a whole box of Hexi blocks ( hundreds of blocks ) when he left.

I have one of those, and I think they are great, lot less room taken up and lighter, and because the fire is smaller the mug heats up the meal/drink quicker

I usually cook my meal in my mug, put out the hexi block, eat my meal, swill out the mug after and re-light the used hexi to heat my drink

I think this image shows it better especially when its made bigger

Me too, although the teflon burns off after a while. It's stainless steel underneath.
