Low cost air rifle

RE: Low cost air rifle
That's a really good deal Scythe. Excellent in fact.

But its not really what I'm looking for. I've got guns of that type and they are too powerful. At 1200fps it'll be noisy too and the pellets will be supersonic.... all the silencing in the world will not control the mini sonic boom ( more a sonic crack actually). I just looked up the spec and the speeds quoted are for the .177 version. The .22 specs out at around 722 fps, which is better

As a hunter for larger stuff up to the size of rabbits, that gun should work very well indeed.

I want something much quieter and much less powerful. The Crosman 2100 is .177 and has a reviewed muzzle velocity of around 620 fps on lead pellets. A trucker acquaintance reckons he knows a place that he'll be able to get me a one for around £50.00 so its good on that score as well.

Listen how quiet is on this pellet test: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WyiaJy54DuY

LS, you're tempting me to get one now.

If your mate can get 2 at that price, I'll have one straight off you.

is this gamo only 12ft/lb....1200fps is awful quick for a non fac .22 air rifle , infact i'd say 1000fps is quick....i've never got anywhere near that with my 12ft/lb weihrauch hw80 with a variety of hunting pellets.

I think you are on the right track there Midnight

From what I've seen, 1000fps is about as fast as it gets with 12 ft lb, and that's using lightweight PBA pellets.
