Erk.... Possible disruption on a large scale to satelite comms and power distribution networks, especially ones nearer the poles.

What kind of solar charger would I need to run this?

http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/pa...608273.htm

could it be hooked up to a spare car battery and how long would the battery hold it's charge with out needing to be charged up?

Phwarr thats a question for Wet & Cold , I think for a device like that you actually ( I'm likely to be wrong) need to use a panel to charge a battery that in turns powers the fridge, cos as soon as it got dark the panel on its own would stop powering the fridge, You need (I think) to charge up a battery so that it can power the fridge 24/7 ??

RE: M3 flare
Just thinking we could have a power outage at any time, they were talking last year of possible controlled power cuts, even if it only went off for a day I need to keep my mums insulin cold, I got the fridge today, I'll ask WnC

I had a fan running off a car battery camping one time, but I didn't watch how it was connected, but having said all that, I'm sure you tube will have a how to video,
