HAR HAR HAR HAR
A guy who I have clashed with many times over the years and claims to be an absolute expert on all things survival and guns ( must be a god cos I've been surviving and prepping for over 30 and I'm still a green novice) His latest proud comment was how he had just fitted his air rifles and crossbow with some top quality imported red dot scopes. Ready for armageddon, bring it on etc were a few of his comments, then one of the other lads I know who is into photography etc pointed out to him this red dot scope he bought used a specialist lithium battery of a daft size that cost £17 each and were very hard to find !!!!!! I had a little gloat I admit it, but it does make you think that before we buy pieces of kit we should ask our coleagues and fellows preppers for advice and guidance before we waste good money.

RE: HAR HAR HAR HAR
I still to this day, apart from letting everyone see you by shining a bloody big red or green dot at them, dont know why you need a laser pointer on a gun.
I know you can use them to blind people giving you time to fire first etc.. but if your that bad a shot, put the gun down me thinks.
Is it me? you shouldnt need a red or green dot to show where your aiming should you? Or am I missing some benefit that I dont know about?
I mean even without aiming you should be that in tune with your chosen weapons system that you know where the shot would go anyway.
Symbiosis n all that

Technology is a subsitute for skill.
Instead of training for 20 years and becoming a black belt you buy a gun.
Instead of practising with the gun you put a red dot system on it
Less prep and makes it so anyone can use it.

RE: HAR HAR HAR HAR
The times I've looked at stuff and not bought it because the bits needed to keep it going are ridiculously expensive. The classic is printers.

RE: HAR HAR HAR HAR
I have a system in my preps of if I can get a device or tool that is not reliant on batteries or circuit boards I'll have it, No lasers, no GPS, no Ipods,no red dots, Just my tactical flashlight and some of my radios use AA Lithium batteries, The few remaining items I had that were CR123A lithium powered are getting made redundant. My Cobra and Taipan bows use iron sights and the Mk200 uses my 5 x 40 scope, I hope to get another 6x40 scope for the Taipan though.
