RE: What will happen !
It appears that there is a confusion regarding the American process. We do not directly elect a president. That decision goes through a round about process.
Our "popular election" occurred back in November. The validity of that election is heavily suspect.
After the popular election has been accomplished there is a meeting of "the Electoral College" which is made up of the official delegates from each state that actually confirm the election. That occurred in December and was the source of all the hoopala over riots and insurrection.
What comes next is the swearing in ceremony, called the "Inauguration", which marks the transfer of administrations.
What you have seen on the news of late is the majority segment of the population reminding the politicians that they know where you are and are watching what you are doing.
The way it works over here is that if you are a minority and burn down half the nation it is considered a "protest".
If you are white and show up at your congressman's office it is considered a terrorist led insurrection.
In historical reflection, in 1860 Lincoln was elected to the presidency of the US. Back then the transfer of power was done in March.
During that time of limbo, between the Electoral College confirmation and the Inauguration, several of the southern states withdrew from the Union due to Lincoln's agenda. He declared those states in "rebellion" and issued orders to conscript troops to deal with the "insurrection". At that point several other states withdrew from the Union, refusing to fight against their neighbors. They were all summarily invaded to force compliance.
A 4 year long Civil War resulted wherein half a million men were killed, half of our nation was granted second class citizen status, the GNP of half the nation purposely ruined for the next 100 years and our Constitution reinterpreted from being a voluntary union to being a forced union.
However!
At the end of that Civil War not a single Confederate States politician was put on trial for conspiracy against the US. Not a single General that led troops in the field against the US was put on trial for leading an insurrection, and only one individual was put on trial for "war crimes".
This ain't our first rodeo. We'll see how this one goes.
