but where would someone go and how? running for the hills isnt much of an option, sure any idiot can survive in the summertime but once the winter comes they'll be dropping like flies even in the mild South west of England.

I've been doing the rounds of the prepper/survival forums for the past 19 years under a variety of screennames engaging in countless debates and discussions, not only is it great fun, but I've picked up (and given) some useful info on the way.
For example I keep my fridge switched OFF because tinned food doesn't like things too cold.

As for surviving in a post-apoc world, it depends what type of apoc it is of course, but one things for sure in a HARDCORE post-apoc scenario- If you stay in the cities you're a dead duck for sure because you can't plant seeds in concrete..
That's why we'll move out to a deserted country house like I outlined earlier in this awesome thread and name it 'Apocalypse Hall'.
