I remember the siren being tested on a regular basis ....fixed to the local police station I was 4 to 5 years old then ...1956 ....57 .....all classes were mustered to the main hall std 1 through to std 4 .....we were given a Horlicks
sweet as a reward for being within the set time ! Sometimes I would get two ! ......I put this down to being so f..king gorgeous .
