Some very well reasoned views on this. Great to see.

Especially impressed with my friend MB and what he's had to say. You're spot on right mate. The pandemic was a bad situation, but one that we can come back from and normality will return...temporarily. However, you highlight 1 important point and I hasted to add another. Firstly, that the decline was government organised and we could well be evicted/stripped of our preps. Which makes me think SS talking about a second location that's prepped and ready, is a good plan. But we'd need to hope it's not known or found. Otherwise we could be bugging out into a looted location. The point that I add is that so many people said they were going to push back against authority, if they tried to take our stuff. That didn't happen.

The reality is that if we hit a time harder than the pandemic where major lockdowns are enforced, travel will be difficult. If you're really rural, you might not notice a difference in your local mobility. But over longer distances, you run the risk of roadblocks. A few farmer friends had no experience of being stopped. Driving a dirt covered 4x4 meant I was waved through the 2 check-points I came across during lockdown. But that aside, I was fortunate enough to drive freely.

With this in mind, I am going to start up another thread that I think would be interesting to get everyone's feedback on.

But at the moment, on this topic, I think SS and Mary are spot on. MB and BP, PG and Joe...you're all on point too. Some great input here.
