it always used to be "back in the day" that in Britain housing was cheap and food was expensive-when I first got married you only had a roast joint once a week, nowadays housing is expensive and food is relatively cheap, of course where prices are concerned "the only way is up"!
as far as growing your own food most people dont have the time, or the knowledge or the inclination, better to just bitch and moan "when are the govt going to sort "IT"-whatever IT is.
it is possible to grow a lot of your own food in containers or even just in growbags on a balcony, but apart from preppers who does??

Some people that prefer to be alone arent anti-social they just have no time for drama, stupidity and false people.
