My apologies if I gave the impression that "I am better than everyone else".
That was not my point, and I am not so.
The point that I was trying to make was that my observation on other folks activities was that there seemed to be a great deal of "excess" taking place, in my opinion. I hope that the celebration of Christmas will be an enjoyable experience for everybody and that next year will be an enjoyable experience also.
I just hope that the scale of enjoyment does not put folks into a 'problem area' later on.
As a youngster I was led to believe that saving was a good thing - this advice came from a grandparent who had survived a world war and had been able to pay bills due to the fact that enough 'flexible asset' was available most of the time. The advice given was taken on board and has stood me in good stead to this day. It is a way of life.
