Storing/life expectancy of diesel fuel

thinking on stocking up on red diesel just for my heater really but I guess that there's no point in buying it now, better to wait a few months until the start of this Winter??

I'm interested in how you get on with your heater .
Did you fit it yourself
Was it a cheapo Chinese one
How it runs ,cost ect .
