Just read a report (The Times) the fault at the sub-station that caused the fire and
Heathrow airport shut down was known about seven years ago, 2018, maintenance
guide lines were ignored.
It was decidedly in 2022 to “defer routine maintenance” at the sub-station.
The fire suppression system at the time was “inoperable”.
Apparently there no requirement for any back-ups to vital users such as airports,
hospitals, and even military bases.
Unbelievable !!!, we don’t stand a chance.
