i'm after keeping bees as well if I can get a donor hive in the wild, but with the british bee decline that may be harder than it seems...

why dont you contact your local beekeepers society, they may give you a hand to get started, at least they will give you some info.

we were going to have bees on our allotment, but the allotment committee wanted us to put ALL the hives on one plot and share the honey so i thought sod that! so we didnt bother.
