Oddly enough my pet hate up to very recently was the herds of local gypos who cause much misery around here, ( the old respected and quite well liked English gypsies appear to be extinct now) they use pony and traps, horses and 2 wheeled sprung carts etc mainly for illegal trotting races on the local roads. But of late and after seeing diesel reach over £1.50 a litre I'm styarting to think of nags and casrts in a different light. As it is some locals are suggesting the schools using mini buses to ferry kids to and from home are now actually thinking about a horse drawn tram to do the school run.
