This is a good thread. It’s a shame I came across it so late.
I am wondering why the emphasis is on going to an area of low population?
I would have thought that would be a good idea in Zombie scenario, but for slightly more likely scenarios (where the rest of the population don’t want to eat you) I would have thought the best place to be is in a good farming area, on the outskirts of an area of large urban area. No one notices you (like they don’t notice a donkey when stood near a brachiosaur) and great for scavenging etc.
Perhaps I have missed the point and you are thinking of a place to stay before the shit hits the fan. Or perhaps a scenario where society is still intact, but just totally fu..., um, fudged, so we want to opt out.
I love going to North Wales though. And every time I’m there (I go a lot) I muse about escaping there after disaster ‘X’. It just has that kind of feel to it. So I’d be easily talked around.
