i dont know anyone who eats the leaves of rhubarb or tomatoes, and as for apples dosent everyone spit out the pips??

Just maybe Paul let’s say in a SHTF and you came across a rhubarb patch you just might through hunger cook the leaves up with the stalks if you did not know.

Plus let’s assume a starving person would not always wait for the crops to be ripe before picking and eating, then elderberry would/could kill you, it would be like drinking sea water to quench thirst.

i thought everyone knew rhubarb leaves are poisonous? i've heard old gardeners say not even to put the leaves on the compost heap!!
