I looked up the Obama reference to arms control and read this report.

One phrase crept into my thoughts despite the assurances that it wasn't about disarming America or other countries just about stopping the illegal sale and transportation of guns.

The phrase was "political mission creep". What I mean is if you take any benign new law or treaty it'll be warped and distorted to a governments desires. Our government is notorious at doing that.

Will this one lead to house to house searches? It's going to be interesting in the US if they try. The tree of freedom will definitely be refreshed by the blood of patriots if they did.
