some good points here!!

smoking cigarettes, the smell can travel as far as a few miles in a woodland area.

other "unnatural" smells, essentially anything that indicates the precense, recent or current, of an intelligent organism.

not having good opsec about all your plans, its all very well and good sharing knowledge with eachother on forums like this, or maybe even organising a group of people to bug out with, but keep your destination and such like quiet.

underestimating people, just cause we're preppers doesnt mean we're tougher in a fight, especially with someone whose desperate for what we got!...its all too easy to think other people are less intelligent than you and cant recognise signs of habitation and such like, more people than you realise can!!....another spin off of this point is the idea that more people than you would think will end up roaming the countryside and be more organised than you'd assume.

never underestimate a threat, overestimation is fine, you can prepare better and having extra supplies, underestimation will kill you.
