Why? I've got waterproofs etc stashed in various locations - why put myself through suffering unnecessarily when I prep precisely to avoid those things?
Yes, we all know when you're cold and wet and hungry, it's not nice, as you're cold and wet and hungry. I imagine 99% of us have been there before. You're not learning anything though are you? Seems like a waste of time to me - I'll spend my autumn day doing something productive, so I don't have to sit in the pissing rain thanks.
