Sorry, I don't get what you mean. I listed tahte advantages in my reply: Walie Talkies like the UV5r cover more bands, ie have greater frequency range both on transmit and receive, and for the same money as the MT5050 can be upgraded with accessories taht will greatly increase operating time from the power pack, add a hand mike/speaker which is ultra useful when operating while portable with a fully loaded burgen, additional antennas to increase range and 12v power adaptors to allow the unit to operate directly from any 12v supply.
Ta muchly, I'm with you now, most of the frequencies appear to be HAM frequencies which is out in my book,so more frequencies is pointless if you need a ham licence to access them, I reiterate my original requirements for a SIMPLE , UNLICENCED,CHANNEL DISPLAY NOT FREQUENCIES, STAND ALONE ( no repeaters ) theres only the PMR 446 channels of use, I wonder if it displays the PMR 446 frequencies as channels or frequencies?

99.99 % of preppers see a radio as a tool nothing more they are not interested in upgrades, repeaters, fancy antenna, licences, side bands, UHV versus VHF,repeaters etc. So it is fair to say there is NO suitable radio equipment at this time to meet our very simple needs
Yup in comparison the UV5-R is a better, indeed much better piece of kit than the Intek, sadly neither appear suitable for anyone except commited hobbyists.
