Social medicine, Autobahns, free education, fixed hyper inflation in record time, developed affordable vehicles, developed modern military doctrine (good bits and bad) that most nations adopted since including the Israelis who learned to be every bit as inhumane and savage on the battle field as their evil former oppressers were.

If you choose (and of course your free to) condemn an entire system or people for the actions of its government and its forces, then I'm sure you would agree that the same can be applied to the Islam nations trying to wipe Israel out AND Israel itself because its used / using very similar techniques that the nazis used. Rounding up pallies and putting them in ghettoes then pounding them out of existance with heavy artilary and bombs, stealing their land and homes and replacing them with jewish families, thats ethnic cleansing at least. The Slavs, Bosnians and Serbs are still trying to exterminate each other

The soviets killed more innocent people and betrayed the Plish jews but they are not condemned in the same way as the nazis.

No society is or was perfect but all also had their good points.

And YES you did very clearly imply those chaps were at least Nazis sympathisers. I point out to you my Dad was in uniform in Palestine in the late 40s early 50s and he points out the atrocties by the jews and arabs were every bit as odious as the worst of the germans, ESPECIALLY the jewish terrists of the Stern Gang , Irgun etc who murdered unarmed off duty British soldiers.

To me as a somewhat bitter ex serviceman with a long memory I tend to associate Israel with the cold blooded mass murder of innocent people in the Hotel King David, and the murder of the three unarmed off duty british army storemen sergeants is that a fair analogy?

He is a post by much respected jouno John Pilger, Clearly the atrocties he records are every bit as evil as those of the Nazi government, so do we say all the Israelis are Jeewish Nazis ? I certainly would not, but some may.

In the news we get, only the Palestinians are described as terrorists, and yet the Israelis have a long history of terrorism - both before and since the founding of the Jewish state.

At least three Israeli Prime Ministers have been involved in campaigns of terror.

Menachem Begin was the commander of the terrorist group that blew up the King David Hotel in Jerusalem in 1946, killing 96 people. He was Israeli Prime Minister in the '70s and '80s. He once described a massacre as "a splendid act of conquest".

Yitzak Shamir was Prime Minister until 1992. He had been a leader of a Jewish group called the Stern Gang which carried out a string of assassinations.

The present Israeli Prime Minister, Ariel Sharon, has long been involved in terror. In 1983, he was found indirectly, but personally, responsible for a civilian massacre by Lebanese militia in two Palestinian refugee camps. At least 800 innocent men, women and children were murdered in cold blood, most of them Palestinians, after Sharon ordered his men to allow the militiamen access to the camps.
