When do YOU start looting.

Yes,... but there is looting and looting,... none of us here are likely to want to raid a shop in the first few days, and certainly not the kind of looting we have seen in recent riots.

But after many days or months of a serious event and coming across an empty house or even town/village,.. then rummaging around for anything that you think will aid you,.. is not looting as I see it,..its surviving

i call it "Scavenging"! as in making use of something someone else has left behind.
